Energie Jeunes

France

The “Énergie Jeunes” association, founded in 2001, aims to support young people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds in their school careers and personal development.

Based on the observation that social inequalities in French schools remain very high, the association works with middle and high school students, and since 2023 with CM1-CM2 students, by setting up mentoring programs and in-class educational coaching workshops.

It offers personalized support to help these young people regain their self-confidence, overcome obstacles at school and set goals for the future.

Énergie Jeunes is committed to the educational success and personal development of young people, offering them emotional, social and academic support through four programs:

  • “Love learning”: Énergie Jeunes’ main program, designed to help students realize their full potential through short interventions in the classroom.
  • “Homework done”: Énergie Jeunes supports the Rectorat de Versailles in rolling out the government program designed to help middle-school students succeed with their homework, by providing personalized support outside the classroom.
  • “Energie bubbles”: this interdisciplinary educational program mobilizes an entire school around an educational musical. Through this project, the teaching team can tackle the notion of effort, perseverance and group work through an unforgettable experience.
  • “100% Parents”: an experimental program designed to complement classroom activities. Volunteers talk to parents by telephone to find solutions that encourage their children’s efforts and keep them motivated to learn.

Energie Jeunes is a positive and constructive approach, involving animators and trained volunteers, to help young people boost their motivation and develop social and emotional skills.

All their actions aim to improve the well-being and academic success of young people, helping them to project themselves into the future with concrete ambitions.
